In the year 2013, the school obtained first position in aspirant farmer of the year competition at district level and also position two at Provincial level. The garden continues to feed learners for National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP) and the community at large.

The school garden somehow caught the attention of the minister of agriculture, Mme Thoko  Didiza. IN 2022 she sent her delegation led by the Honorable Member of Parliament Mme Carol Phiri, who brought to the school tools for the garden, e.g. Wheelbarrows, rakes, spades, digging forks and hose pipes. As if that was not enough, she also decided to donate different kinds of seedlings to the school.
